Binh Hoa Private High School was established from 1955 to March 4, 1959. Formerly the residence of Mr. Nguyen Van Du, built in 1930, it was one of the two private high schools organized by the revolution during a period when the country was divided, with the South under the domination of the United States and puppet regimes. Despite being closely monitored and violently attacked by the enemy, the teachers and students of Binh Hoa Private High School successfully fulfilled their mission of training a revolutionary cadre for the Party, contributing significantly to the revolutionary cause of liberating the South and unifying the country. Though its operational time was short, Binh Hoa Private High School (along with Thanh Trí Private High School) became the bastion of the revolution, nurturing talents for the homeland and the nation. Many alumni of the school have achieved success and held high positions in the Party and Central Government.

Notable examples include Mr. Truong Vinh Trong, former member of the Politburo and former Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The interior of the school does not show much differentiation between the main house and the annex, consisting of four classrooms (each separated by plywood). Today, these rooms are used as offices for the district's Education Promotion Association in Giồng Trôm. In this room, there is an altar dedicated to the past teachers of Bình Hòa Private High School, presented by the families of the teachers.

Every year, on March 4th, November 20th (Vietnamese Teachers' Day), the 3rd day of Tet (Lunar New Year), and June 26th (the anniversary of the passing of teacher Lê Quang Quới), are considered traditional days of Binh Hoa Private High School. On these days, teachers and alumni return to the old school. Representatives of families of deceased teachers also attend.

The historical site was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a provincial cultural and historical relic, where talents of the province were trained, according to Decision No. 51/QD-UBND dated January 10, 2012.
