The Site of Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cung's House is where the first Communist Party cell in Bến Tre province was established in April 1930, and Cây Da Đôi Junction is where the first Communist Party cell of Bến Tre province was introduced. This junction was previously called Tân Xuân Junction, but since the banyan tree was planted, locals have referred to it as Cây Da Đôi Junction. On May 7, 1997, according to Decision No. 985-QĐ/VH by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, these two locations were recognized by the Ministry of Culture as National Historical Sites: Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cung's House and Cây Da Đôi Junction. In early April 1930, comrade Nguyễn Văn Ân came to Tân Xuân to establish a Communist Party base. He contacted comrade Trần Văn An to grasp the operational situation.

Comrade Nguyễn Văn Ân incorporated the VNTNCMĐCH group of Tân Xuân into the Indochinese Communist Party, marking the first "red seeds" in Cù Lao Bảo and the first in Bến Tre province. By the end of April 1930, the number of Party members in the commune had exceeded 10. Seeing that the conditions were ripe for establishing a Party cell, comrade Nguyễn Văn Ân, on behalf of the temporary Provincial Party Committee of Mỹ Tho - Bến Tre, founded the Tân Xuân commune's Communist Party cell. The founding meeting was held at the house of Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cung, a Party member, in Tân Hòa hamlet, Tân Xuân commune. The meeting was attended by comrade Nguyễn Văn Trí, a representative of the temporary Provincial Party Committee of Mỹ Tho - Bến Tre, comrade Nguyễn Văn Ân, comrade Trần Văn An, and 10 dedicated members selected for introduction into the Indochinese Communist Party. After its establishment, the Party members of the Tân Xuân cell immediately engaged in activities such as organizing secret speeches, distributing leaflets, hoisting Party flags, and propagating revolutionary ideals among the masses.

On May 1, 1930, in celebration of International Workers' Day and to create widespread influence among the masses, the Tân Xuân Party cell organized a rally at Cây Da Đôi Junction. The rally was held in the late afternoon with over 200 participants. On October 27, 1930, hundreds of people from various communes gathered here to protest against the imperialist invaders. The fervor of the protest frightened the enemy into fleeing. This demonstration created a significant impact in the province, causing great concern among the French colonialists and their collaborators.

Over the years, these historical sites have deteriorated, making it difficult to preserve their original state. To meet the needs of research, education, and public visits, the People's Committee of Bến Tre province has restored Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cung's house and renovated Cây Da Đôi Junction.
