Minh Islet is nourished by two branches of the river, Ham Luong and Co Chien, comprising four districts: Cho Lach, Mo Cay Bac, Mo Cay Nam, and Thanh Phu, covering nearly 40% of the province's area. It is one of the richest agricultural regions in Ben Tre province, boasting diverse and appealing tourism products. The four districts on the island have collaborated to develop tourism under the theme "One Journey, Four Destinations," showcasing local specialties such as eco-tourism, community-based tourism, spiritual tourism, homestay experiences, historical tourism related to the Dong Khoi homeland, and traditional craft villages.

Mo Cay Nam district serves as the focal point of the Minh Islet Tourism Cluster, located 15km from Ben Tre City by road. It borders Thanh Phu, Mo Cay Bac, and Cho Lach districts, serving as a vital transportation hub linking Ben Tre City with Tra Vinh and other districts within the province. Mo Cay Nam is recognized as a hub for commercial and tourism development, benefiting from the tranquil and picturesque Thom River. The name evokes curiosity, offering unique landscapes and significant economic value to the locality and province alike. The river is known for its floating coconut market and coconut exploitation villages along its banks, which are unparalleled anywhere else. Particularly notable is Mo Cay's role as the birthplace of Mo Cay coconut candy, a tradition preserved to this day by Tuyet Phung coconut candy factory.

Mo Cay Nam has long been known as the homeland of Dong Khoi, a region famous for its special national historical relic, Dong Khoi (including Noi Dong Khoi and the Long-haired Army). This site holds deep historical significance and serves as a destination for tourism, learning, and historical research in Ben Tre province. Each year, it attracts a large number of visitors, including locals, domestic tourists, and foreigners alike. Snake Communal House, a location within the Dong Khoi historical complex, is a popular spot for tourists returning to the birthplace of the Dong Khoi movement. During the Ky Yen festival, it sees significant participation from local residents. Additionally, the district features other national historical relics such as Tuyen Linh Pagoda, built during the reign of Emperor Tu Duc, and Hoi Yen Communal House, a revolutionary historical site closely tied to folk beliefs, which are must-visit destinations for tourists.

"One Journey, Four Destinations" is a tourism initiative under the "Coconut Village" project in Mo Cay Nam district. It aims to develop the Mo Cay and Thom rivers into distinctive water tourism attractions, offering diverse and attractive leisure tourism facilities while preserving the traditional essence of Ben Tre's coconut production. This initiative seeks to elevate the quality and value of Ben Tre's coconut products into an international brand, promoting sustainable tourism practices.

Tourism in Mo Cay Nam is characterized by historical tourism such as Dong Khoi historical sites, floating market tourism, and traditional craft villages. Moving northwest to Mo Cay Bac, it attracts tourists with eco-tourism, cultural history, resort stays, river experiences, and community-based tourism including homestays. The area also houses the national historical site of the former Saigon - Gia Dinh military headquarters.

Adjacent to Mo Cay Bac, Cho Lach district is renowned as the "kingdom of fruits, seedlings, and ornamental plants," enticing visitors with peaceful orchards, serene rivers and streams, and vibrant displays of fruits and flowers. Currently, Cho Lach is developing the Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village comprising 4 hamlets in 4 communes: Đong Kinh (Vinh Hoa), Lan Dong (Phu Son), An Hoa (Long Thoi, and Vinh Nam (Vinh Thanh). The goal is to transform Cho Lach into a national-level tourism center for sightseeing, relaxation, entertainment, and cultural experiences.

Heading southeast, Thạnh Phú district is the only coastal district of the Minh Islet, stretching about 26km and covering two communes: Thanh Phong and Thanh Hai. Thanh Phu beach retains its pristine beauty, with an extensive mangrove forest ecosystem ideal for developing coastal eco-tourism. Visitors to Thạnh Phú can enjoy swimming in the sea, participating in beach games, savoring fresh seafood specialties, and exploring the national historical site of Dau Cau - a strategic location for receiving weapons during the North-South conflict. They can also visit the tomb of the old man -Nam Hải and explore the ancient house of Huynh Phu.

In the framework of tourism collaboration among the four districts on Minh Islet, leveraging existing tourism resources, Mo Cay Nam is consolidating and developing tourism activities such as rowing boats in small canals, cruising on the Thom River, experiencing the coconut floating market of Bến Tre, and visiting the Tuyet Phung coconut processing facility. From here, tourists can continue to explore tourism products in Thanh Phu, Mo Cay Bac, and Cho Lach districts. Each district offers rich and distinctive tourism products, and their connection and cooperation enhance the diversity of tourism products and services through the program "Experience tourism from river to sea", aiming to uphold the brand " COCONUT HOMELAND TOURISM- SAFE, FRIENDLY, QUALITY".
