The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to reopen tourism activities under new normal conditions

To restore tourism activities to new normal conditions with the motto "safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic" according to the Government's direction in Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP, On March 15, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially issued a plan to reopen tourism activities under new normal conditions.

According to the plan, from March 15, 2022, international and domestic tourism activities will reopen under new normal conditions through air, road, rail, and sea routes to ensure safety and suitability with regulations on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control; Applies to international tourists coming to Vietnam (inbound), tourists going abroad (outbound) and domestic tourists.
For international tourism activities, implement visa policy according to Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP of the Government dated March 15, 2022, on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and the Republic of Belarus; Official Dispatch No. 1606/VPCP-QHQT of the Government Office dated March 15, 2022, on restoring Vietnam's immigration policy and related regulations
Guests entering the country by air must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (except children under 2 years old) before leaving the country within 72 hours if using the RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method or within 24 hours if using the rapid antigen test method for SARS-CoV-2 virus and certified by the competent authority of the country performing the test.
For passengers entering the country via road, rail, or sea, testing is required as required above. In case you do not have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2, perform a SARS-CoV-2 test at the border gate before entering the country (by RT-PCR/RTLAMP method or rapid virus antigen test). SARS-CoV-2). If the test result is negative, you are allowed to enter the country and participate in tourism activities. If the test result is positive, follow the instructions of the health authority.
Children under 2 years old are not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2, have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have never been infected with SARS-CoV-2, and are allowed to enter the country and participate in activities outside the residence with their father, mother, relatives.
Tourists must declare their health before entering the country and use the Health Declaration Application (PC-COVID), implementing epidemic prevention and control measures according to regulations during their stay in Vietnam.
At the border gate, if a traveller has symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost smell; pain, headache; diarrhoea; difficulty breathing; respiratory tract infection...) immediately report to the health authority at the border gate to take medical measures according to regulations.
Travellers must have health insurance or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum liability of $10,000.
Within 10 days from the date of entry, tourists self-monitor their health, if they have symptoms suspected of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decreased or lost sense of smell; pain, headache; difficulty breathing; respiratory infection...) must notify the nearest medical facility immediately for timely guidance and management; Take preventive measures: regularly wear masks, disinfect hands with antiseptic solution.
Tourists must ensure the conditions for exit and entry according to Vietnam's immigration laws and other related regulations when travelling in Vietnam.
Outbound tourists need to comply with immigration, health and related regulations of Vietnam and the countries and territories visiting.
For domestic tourism activities, it will be implemented in the spirit of Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2021, of the Government "Safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic" and related guiding documents to ensure safety, disease prevention and control. At the same time, implement a stimulus program to restore domestic tourism activities nationwide. Organize promotions and promote destinations, build diverse and attractive tourism products and experiences.
