Giồng Trôm ấn tượng với du khách bởi nét bình yên của những hàng dừa xanh rợp lối đi, món ăn dân dã và làng nghề truyền thống lâu đời.

Giong Trom district, Ben Tre is about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, a suitable destination for tourists on short trips on weekends or returning during the day. Means of transportation during the examination are mainly by bicycle. On a cool afternoon, tourists cycle through rows of green coconut and areca trees along the road, stopping at Bun Quang Thang bridge overlooking the quietly drifting Bau Lo River, on both banks are nipa palms whispering in the wind.

Here, you can rent a homestay to join the daily life of residents.

With each tour route, visitors have their own experiences and discoveries. People who like rivers can board boats and canoes to weave into small canals and join local people in picking water coconuts - a typical tree that grows naturally along rivers, canals, and streams in the South.

Sitting on the boat, visitors can separate each water coconut to eat directly. Nipa coconut rice is soft, sweet and fragrant, and can be used to make a cool beverage with sugar and ice.

A destination that should not be missed on the journey is Son Doc puff pastry village in Hung Nhuong commune, more than 100 years old.

Here visitors can visit and learn the process of making a sticky rice puff cake. A cake that meets the requirements is that after baking, it must be spongy, crispy, and expand 2 times larger than before being baked. The craft village sells many types of cakes for customers to buy as gifts, such as chicken seed sticky rice cakes, jackfruit sticky rice cakes, durian sticky rice cakes...

Guests can learn how to make Banh Khot(I.e. Vietnamese mini pancakes) at the homestay to prepare lunch for their family, and with the tour guide pick herbs from the garden, mix garlic and chilli fish sauce to dip the cake and vegetables to serve.

Western Banh Khot(I.e. Vietnamese mini pancakes) is fragrant, soft, and less greasy. The crust is not too crispy like Vung Tau Khot cake and has the bright yellow colour of turmeric powder. The cake has a rich taste from coconut milk, rich from minced Siamese duck meat, ground silver shrimp and the richness of green beans.

Giant shrimp is another rustic speciality that is popular with diners. Whether grilled, boiled with red coconut water, or salted with lime leaves, the shrimp meat remains sweet and firm.

The homestay also has activities like visiting the garden, picking vegetables, tending vegetables, and feeding grass to goats and cows... suitable for families with young children.

With an experience encapsulated in a small hamlet, the Giong Trom trip will take you to discover unique cultural features in a rustic but attractive countryside.
