The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ben Tre province received the results of a provincial-level Science and Technology research project on applying 4.0 technology in developing smart tourism in Ben Tre province.

Căn cứ Quyết định số 3007/QĐ-UBND về việc ghi nhận kết quả đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học và công nghệ cấp tỉnh, ngày 16 tháng 02 năm 2022 tại Sở Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch đã diễn ra buổi tiếp nhận kết quả đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học công nghệ cấp tỉnh “Ứng dụng công nghệ 4.0 trong phát triển du lịch thông minh tỉnh Bến Tre" giai đoạn 1, đề tài do Trung tâm Kinh doanh VNPT Bến Tre là đơn vị chủ trì thực hiện.

​Attending the reception were Ms Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms Vo Thi Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology and representatives of the Department of Science Management; Mr Cao Xuan Doan - Director of VNPT Ben Tre Business Center - Project leader and other members participating in the implementation; Representatives of departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism such as Department Office, Tourism Management Office, Provincial Museum, Tourism Promotion Information Center.

The project was carried out with the goal of: Building an integrated data warehouse on tourism resources; Commercial services, Ben Tre tourism digital map on a web portal application platform; and a mobile travel application (mobile app). Through technology applications to introduce and promote the potential and strengths of Ben Tre tourism; information about history, culture, and scenic spots; Provide and update accurate, complete and timely information about tourism activities, outstanding programs and events of the Province to promote Ben Tre's tourism brand and attract domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, enhance interaction between state management agencies, businesses and tourists, to improve the effectiveness of state management in the tourism sector; Gradually improve the quality, brand and image of Ben Tre tourism.

Product beneficiaries are served by 3 main groups including: State management agencies, residents/tourists, and businesses. Contribute to increasing the efficiency of tourism industry management, promoting the international market, predicting tourism data, forecasting and making breakthrough decisions, aiming for difference, prominence and safety. Complete, friendly. At the same time, tourists can quickly look up information, improve their travel experience, and expand business opportunities.

Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received the results of phase 1 of the project and shortly will continue to coordinate in implementing phase 2 to exploit and develop effective and stylish applications richer and more attractive to create favourable conditions for visitors to better access and experience vivid and eye-catching images. Expected time to launch the Ben Tre Smart Tourism Application in March 2022 for residents/tourists and businesses to serve the need to find information from applying 4.0 technology to life./.​
