"Journey in Confucian scholar footsteps" Ben Tre - Long An - Ho Chi Minh City - Thua Thien Hue

The program includes resource activities; the exhibition "Life and Career of Nguyen Dinh Chieu"; performing arts, coordinating to give away bookcases, medicine cabinets, and scholarships to disadvantaged and studious students at schools named after Nguyen Dinh Chieu; Visit and give gifts to Confucian scholar descendants. Thereby, connecting, building and developing tourism links between four localities to effectively carry out the work of "preserving and promoting cultural heritage values ​​associated with tourism development".

This is one of the activities to respond to and practically celebrate the 200th birthday of famous person Nguyen Dinh Chieu. Through activities and journeys, it will contribute to honouring and spreading the value of the legacy that Mr Nguyen Dinh Chieu left for the nation and humanity, especially the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, and love for the people, loving peace, fairness, justice, filial piety, studiousness; courage to overcome difficulties and adversities; have a firm belief in the human mission when serving the people and serving the national cause.

Right at the military departure ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee donated 100 Gratitude Houses to Ben Tre province. The organizing committee of the journey donated bookcases and medicine cabinets to the library and the Oriental Medicine Association of Ba Tri district; awarded 20 scholarships to students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School, Ba Tri-town and students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School (each worth 2 million VND) and visited and gave gifts to his descendants Confucian scholar in Ba Tri district.
