Besides, to meet the needs of serving the people of Ben Tre regarding the province's economic, cultural, social and national defense and security achievements since the day the South was completely liberated until now. The Provincial People's Committee invested in the construction of an achievement exhibition house, which started construction on May 10, 2000 and was put into use on September 18, 2003, and the archive of artifacts also began to take shape. In parallel with the start of construction of the achievement exhibition house, the Museum gathered staff and employees to collect documents, materials, images, artifacts and develop an exhibition outline. In 2005 and 2006, the Museum coordinated with the Fine Arts Company, under the Ministry of Culture and Information, to complete the display and put it into service.
On June 5, 1999, based on Decision No. 24/QD-VHTT of the Department of Culture and Information on unit merger and staff mobilization. The museum took over the park management department and assigned the additional function of managing the entire park in Ben Tre Town (now Ben Tre City). By 2004, this department was transferred to the management of Ben Tre Urban Construction Company.

The Museum has also actively advised the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee to prepare documents requesting recognition of 6 provincial-level relics and request recognition from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. 13 national relics. In 2010, implementing Decree No. 13 of the Prime Minister, Regulations on operation and organization of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In January 2011, the Provincial People's Committee decided to separate the relics department of the Museum to establish a relics management board under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In parallel, with the achieved results, the field of archaeological excavations has also demonstrated the efforts of the museum staff, the close coordination between the Museum and the Vietnam Institute of Archeology to investigate, Exploration and excavation of Ba Vat Site, Giong Noi Site, and An Phong Site. In particular, Giong Noi Site, after opening the Museum, organized scientific reporting conferences and scientific seminars attended by many scientists and archaeologists and had many presentations. In the early stages of its formation, the artifacts collected mainly belonged to the theme of revolutionary history and folk cultural artifacts. Collecting work at this stage is still purely professional and not yet highly scientific in nature. Creating scientific records for artifacts is still relatively simple.
